Terry Mielke R. Ph. Pharmacist-in-Charge Pharmacy Owner Terry Mielke, a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, has been a Registered Pharmacist since 1990. Before purchasing the Pharmacy in 2001, Terry’s pharmacy career included neonatal and pediatric pharmacy, research and investigational drug pharmacy services, and protocol development at Texas Children’s Hospital and more recently teaching pharmacy technicians as Program Director at North Harris College.
Terry is a member of the Texas Pharmacy Association and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors. She also is a member of the Lake Houston Pharmaceutical Association, and recently was appointed as Vice Chair for the Research and Development Committee for the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists. “As a member of the Humble Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau, I genuinely care about the community. When it comes to problem solving the medication needs of any family member, even the family pet, we work closely with healthcare practitioners to provide the best for their patients.”
Shirley Dupriest, R. Ph. Staff Pharmacist Shirley Dupriest, a graduate of the University of Texas College of Pharmacy, has been a Registered Pharmacist in the Humble area since 1985. She is a member of the Lake Houston Pharmaceutical Association and also is involved with fund-raising for Humble Northeast Hospice and Kingwood College Single-Parent Scholarship Fund. “As a native Texan, I plan to retire in the area and have a vested interest in this community and its people.”
Vicki Gilmore-McRae, R.N. Registered Nurse Nurse Consultant Vicki has been a Registered Nurse since 1991. Her nursing experience includes work in both the ICU and ER with adult and pediatric patients. With this nursing background, Vicki is able to answer many questions for customers that come into the pharmacy. Since coming to Thrifty Health and Compounding Pharmacy, she is working with our customers regarding “Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.” Vicki schedules appointments for consultations related to HRT as well as other health issues that may be of concern to our clients. “As a nurse, I have always known the theories behind hormone replacement therapy, but as a patient, I experience the day to day benefits from using Bio-Identical Hormones.”
